In an effort to further strengthen its foothold in the MPV segment, Maruti Suzuki has introduced new additional safety features for the Ertiga. The vehicle now gets Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill-hold assist as standard. Until now, these features were limited to the automatic and ZXi+ manual variants. Due to the addition of new features, the ex-showroom prices for the Ertiga have been hiked by Rs 6,000.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga continues to be powered by the next-gen 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine which produces 102bhp at 6,000rpm and 136.8Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. This engine is available in five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options. The CNG version produces 87bhp at 5,500rpm and 121.5Nm of torque at 4,200rpm. The CNG version is limited to a manual transmission unit.
