India’s largest car maker has launched the Ciaz at Rs.6.99 lakhs. The Ciaz which is touted as a direct competitor to Honda City and Hyundai Verna has already proved its mettle by raking in booking numbers far more than the company had expected from it. It is not usual for a car to get 3000 bookings in just three days of its official booking commencement. Maruti has also assured 10000 bookings for the Ciaz.
The new Ciaz from Maruti Suzuki is powered by 1.4 L petrol engine that generates about 91 Bhp of power, whereas the diesel version is powered by 1.3 L engine that generates about 89Bhp of power. Safety features like EBD and ABS and airbags have been included in VXi+ and VDi+ variants. Moreover, these variants have features like climate control, Audio system with Bluetooth, height adjustability for the driver’s seat, parking sensors, and steering-mounted controls. The base models namely VXi and VDi trims are loaded with features like keyless entry, audio system with USB, projector headlamps, fabric upholstery front and rear armrests, aux-in and card reader, and indicator mated electrically-adjustable wing mirrors.
