The yet to launch Ciaz sedan from India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is expected to be up from grabs from next month. The bookings for the sedan began a while ago and reportedly dealers have already received bookings for over 5000 Ciaz units. Sources have stated that interested buyers may not have to wait longer for the vehicle as the company has a large number of vehicles ready from its production line.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is ecpected to be launched in Petrol as well as Diesel variants. Apart from the manual version the new Ciaz shall also get an optional automatic transmission variant in only the petrol variant. The petrol version shall be powered by 1.4 litre K-Series engine, whereas the diesel version is expected to be powered by 1.3 litre Fiat sourced Multijet diesel engine. The diesel engine generates a power output of about 90PS with 200 Nm of peak torque, whereas the petrol version generates about 92 Ps of power with 130 Nm of torque. As per ARAI figures, the automatic variant delivers a fuel efficiency of about 19.12 kmpl, whereas manual petrol variant returns about 20.7 kmpl and the diesel version returns around 26.2 Kmpl.
Talk about features and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes loaded with interesting set of features like climate control, 16 inch alloy wheels, a touchscreen entertainment system, ABS, dual airbags, rear AC vents, Bluetooth phone connectivity, push button stop-start system and projector head lamps. The sedan gets a fair amount of styling that shall keep it atop its segment. The pricing aspect is not known for now, but it is expected to be launched at a competitive price tag that shall make it a hot-seller in its segment.
