Maruti Suzuki adds airbags and ABS to all Celerio models

Maruti Suzuki has added dual airbags and ABS as an optional extra for all variants of the Celerio. The optional variants are priced Rs 13,000 to Rs 20,000 over the price of the standard models. The price of the LXi (O) MT variant is Rs 4.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, the CNG or Green variant as Maruti Suzuki likes to call it is available only with dual airbags and has a premium of Rs 10,000.

The Indo-Japanese automaker recently began offering these safety features on the Swift and Dzire and is currently on a spree to add this option across all its models.

Commenting on the launch of the variants, R S Kalsi, executive director, marketing and sales, said, “Through the Celerio we have always tried to offer the best to customers. By offering safety features like airbags for driver and co-driver, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) from the base variant onwards in Celerio, we are making it more attractive for customers. I am happy that we are able to offer these safety features on the Celerio much ahead of regulations.”
