      Maruti Suzuki achieves milestone with sale of 2 lakh units of Ritz

      Maruti Suzuki, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker Suzuki Motor Corporation, has been growing exponentially with its bestselling models Alto, Swift and the recently added sibling Ritz. The country’s number one car maker has crossed the two lakhs units mark in terms of Maruti Ritz’s sales figures in India.

      The milestone has been attained by the upbeat hatchback in a short period of 3 years of its launch in India and has scored a highly impressive sale of over 64000 units in the domestic auto market in the FY 2011-12. The demand witnessed by Maruti Ritz in the overseas market has been highly encouraging with exports pertaining to major economies in South East Asia and the neighboring regions.

      Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager (Marketing), Maruti Suzuki India, was quoted as saying, "We are happy that Ritz has found appreciation for itself among consumers across age groups. Launched in 2009, Ritz has indeed played a wonderful inning so far. It is one of the finest offering in terms of technology."

      Maruti Suzuki Ritz has been designed in tandem with the European styling aesthetics and has been one of the most preferable models among the youth. Ritz has positioned itself as the most desirable Maruti Suzuki model with its huge fan base of more than 1 lakh people in social networking portal, Facebook.
