Maruti Suzuki India Limited has the largest service network for its automobiles in the country. As sales of MSIL are expected to double by 2015, the company is planning to increase its service network as well. Maruti Suzuki, has firmed up a massive plan to expand its service network to over 4,200 outlets from 2,700 across India.

MSIL has planned an investment of Rs. 250 crore for creating Maruti Authorised Service Stations or MASS. Initially the network will grow up to 55 percent, and will help to attain a target of having a Maruti service outlet within every 25 km radius.

"The network would be expanded to newer cities, to take it from the current 1,300 cities, to over 2,000 cities in the next five years. It would also enhance employment to over 55,000 personnel across India in our service network from the 33,000 at present. We expect service load at our network multiply manifold as Maruti Suzuki scales up capacity to over 1.75 million units by 2103," executive officer, (service) Maruti Suzuki, Pankaj Narula said.

Maruti is also expanding its product portfolio with cars smaller than Alto as well premium sedans like Suzuki Kizashi.
