Suzuki Motor Corporation, the parent company of India's largest passenger car maker Maruti Suzuki, had introduced their Regina concept model at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. The Suzuki Regina hatchback has futuristic looks and enamoured the entire global automobile industry with its cute design. The stylish model flaunted modish curves and looked worldly in appearance, with its green painted body winning the hearts of onlookers and industry critics alike. However, it must be noted that so far the auto maker has not revealed any information regarding the car's launch on Indian turf.

Post the Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki Regina had almost disappeared from the market. However, the Japanese auto maker assured that the commercial version of Regina compact hatchback will be launched soon in the auto market. Unlike the concept version with two doors, the production model of Regina is expected to come as a four-door hatchback. The stylish car can accommodate four to five adults, and will feature a number of world class safety and comfort attributes.

An Indian-spec Suzuki Regina seems like a great option for the domestic auto market, because of its impressive fuel efficiency and cutting edge technology. The Regina hatchback could be launched within a price band starting from Rs. 4.5 lakhs that can go on till Rs. 6.5 lakhs. As per sources, the stylish car could deliver an impressive fuel economy between 25 and 30 kmpl. The strong suits of Regina are going to be its modish looks and dependable powertrain. Further, the car has been designed on a green theme so as to minimise fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
