Maruti Suzuki has launched the Vitara Brezza for Rs.6.99 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the new compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki that competes with the likes of Ford Ecosport and the Mahindra TUV300. The Vitara Brezza comes with a 1.3-litre diesel engine that churns 90bhp of power and 210Nm of maximum torque. This is the same engine that also powers the Ciaz and the Ertiga. Maruti will be initially offering it with a five-speed manual transmission and it will be later on that an AMT could also be offered. The Maruti Vitara Brezza will not be sold initially with a diesel engine. It will be offered in nine colour options and it shall have a fuel efficiency of 24.3km/l as per the ARAI fuel efficiency cycle.
