The Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki is all set to start a new promotional campaign for its premium sedan Kizashi connected to the ICC cricket World Cup 2011. As per industry sources, the company would be spending Rs 8 crore on the entire campaign to promote Kizashi. Out of this entire sum, Maruti Suzuki would be utilizing between Rs 5 crore to Rs 7 crore for TV commercials.

In a statement given to PTI, MSI Chief General Manager (Marketing) Shashank Srivastava said, "The TV ad for Kizashi will be on air on March 8 during the world cup cricket match telecast. It will be a completely product-focused one and it doesn't have a storyline." He added, "A special camera, known as the Phantom camera with 2,000 frames per second has been used to deliver the desired visual effects."

The new ad will be highlighting the sporty and luxurious aspects of the car. It is to be mentioned here that  Maruti Kizashi model was rolled-out in the Indian market in February 2011 with a price tag of Rs 16.5 lakh for manual transmission and automatic transmission at Rs 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Kizashi is the first ever premium sedan in Maruti’s India portfolio.
