As Maruti Ciaz launch is inching closer more details are being unmasked about the sedan by the auto maker. Under its planned marketing strategy, MSI has now come up with the official brochure of the sedan. The brochure has been revealed and is up on MSI’s official site. Here are the preeminent details from the Ciaz brochure that may interest you. MSI will roll out Ciaz in a total of four trim levels including petrol and diesel engine options- VXi/VDi/ VXi+/VDi+, ZXi/ZDi, ZXi+/ZDi+.
Ciaz range will be offered in seven external colour shades and these are Pearl Snow White, Pearl Metallic Dignity Brown, Pearl Sangaria Red, Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Glistering Gray, Pearl Midnight Black and Metallic Clear Beige. Boasting, largest in segment dimensions, Ciaz measures 4490mm in length, is 1730mm wide, has a height of 1485mm, wheelbase is 2650mm long and offers ground clearance between 165-170mm.
The top spec variants will get flared wheel arches fitted to 16 inch alloy wheels, mid-level variants will be equipped with 15 inch alloy wheels. Entry level models on the other hand will not be offered with alloy wheels, they will only get the basic 15 inch steel wheels with full wheel cap.
Among the comfort and convenience features, the sedan gets SmartPlay infotainment system that includes Smartphone Linkage, Multi-touch display, complete Multimedia connectivity, navigation, voice recognition and playback. Besides this, Ciaz will also come equipped with a Hi-tech MirrorLink application that enables to duplicate screen of users’ smaprtphone onto Smartplay screen
Significant safety features like rear parking sensors, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), Dual Airbags and Seat Belt Pretensioners have been out on offer.
Under the bonnet is a 1.4 litre K-Series petrol engine powering the petrol variants, the engine is good for 91 Bhp and 130 Nm. Diesel range gets Fiat sourced 1.3 litre Multijet diesel engine that outputs 89 Bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of top torque. The diesel powered Ciaz is claimed to deliver segment best fuel economy of 26.73 kmpl, while the petrol engined Ciaz is vouched to return 20.73 kmpl.
