      Manesar plant violence Internal inquiry is still on: MSIL

      Following a maintenance shutdown for more than 3 weeks at Manesar, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has said that their internal inquiry is on to identify culprits of the violence. It is to be mentioned here that more than 100 people got injured and one HR manager died in the deadly violence on 17th July at Manesar plant of MSIL.

      In a statement issued on the matter, the company said, "The internal inquiry by the company to identify all the culprits for the Manesar violence is on course. The company continues to extend full support and cooperation to the police and administration." The statement added that the management has also met all the supervisors and managers of the Manesar plant."

      The company has said that the decision on reopening the plant will only be taken after restoring the safety at the Manesar plant, which has been witnessing a series of strikes and violence since last one year. The Manesar plant is currently guarded by few hundred Haryana Police policemen. A special investigation team has been set-up by the state government to probe the incident.
