      Mahindra Xylo zooms past 1 lac sales barrier in India

      India's leading Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) maker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) declared that its Xylo Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) has sold more than 1 lac units in India. The model holds its ground in this segment due to its contemporary looks and user friendly features. It has been an instant hit for M&M since its launch in January 2009, as it is deemed to be one of the most feature-packed MPVs available in the Indian market.

      The 'Stylish New Xylo', which was rolled out in 2012, packs 50 new features and modifications altogether. It has been providing its customer with 'Time of Your life' ever since its launch. D2, D4, E4, E8 and E9 are the five new variants available in the Stylish New Xylo in six colours, which includes a 120 bhp mHawk powerhouse. It holds the distinction for being the only car in its segment to have the unique Voice Command Technology for vehicle commands, which allows passengers to regulate more than 30 features and actions merely through voice commands. This ensures a fairly high level of comfort and makes driving fun for the passengers. The new model comes packed with external and internal features that are tweaked according to varying customer needs, taking it to the higher level in terms of style, comfort, space and convenience.

      On its journey towards the milestone of 1 lac vehicles sold in the country, the Xylo has been acknowledged as the 'MPV of the Year' by several top-end media publications. The model was also recognised by the Limca Book of Records for being the fastest car to finish West East Rally. Xylo enjoyed a 25 per cent market share in UV2 category in FY 2012, as per industry body Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), due to the high level customer satisfaction. The model’s popularity extends even to social media, as more than 8 lac people are its fans on Facebook.
