Within two weeks of its launch, Mahindra has already sold 1788 models of its latest car, Mahindra Xylo. The model that pitches sales tone of “The era of sedans is over” has successfully captured the Indian market. The bookings of this new model from Mahindra have already breached the 4000 mark which makes Mahindra Xylo as one of the most successful models in the Mahindra’s passenger cars product portfolio.
“Prior to the launch of the XYLO, a lot of excitement was generated amongst potential customers which is reflected in the sales and booking numbers. This demand has led us to ramp up production which was possible at short notice as both the Scorpio and the XYLO are manufactured on the same line,” said Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief of Operations, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
The car was launched on January 13, 2009 and was well received by the Indian customers, auto enthusiast and the critics. The car promises good value for money with strong value proposition of status. The Mahindra Xylo website has also recorded more than 7 lakh hits since its inception.
