The muscular beast XUV 500 from Mahindra had been launched in a limited edition variant named 'Limited Edition Sportz'. The Sportz variant had been launched in India at an attractive price tag of about 13.68 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The special edition boasted of features like leather seats, DVD, CD, MP3, six-inch touch screen infotainment system with GPS, FM, USB, iPod connectivity, driver information system, fully automatic temperature control with dual HVAC, cruise control, smart rain and light sensors, projector head lights and LED parking lights among few others.
A while ago Mahindra XUV 500 reportedly achieved the 1 lakhs sales mark in the country. Speaking more on the achievement, Ashok Thakur, CEO of Mahindra SA, said, “Mahindra products not only offer very good value for money, but are also reliable and durable, which has resulted in steady sales growth in the decade we have been in South Africa. Often a motor company launches a higher priced model to mark an anniversary or special occasion, but we decided to introduce the W4 model of the XUV500 to make this even more affordable.” The Hybrid version of XUV 500 showcased at the Auto Expo event had a lot of visitors awestruck with the vehicle's distinctive styling.

With the recent 1 lakh sales achievement figures, the brand speaks for itself on its success in the Indian market.
