The Mahindra XUV300 will be the Indian automaker's third entry into the compact SUV segment. This new compact SUV will stand alongside the TUV300 and be offered with both petrol and diesel power. it is expected to be priced in the range of Rs8 lakhs to 12 lakhs. Our drive review of the car will GO live on February 6 but till them here are some glimpses of the compact SUV from our first drive experience in Goa.
1. The Mahindra XUV300 is the Indian automaker’s new compact SUV competitor. It will take on the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Honda WR-V, Tata Nexon and the Ford EcoSport.
2. Exterior design highlights of the car comprise the chrome grille, vertical LED DRLs, diamond cut alloy wheels, front and rear silver bash plates as well as the tail lamps.
3. The XUV300 is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli and makes use of the same platform but has been shortened to qualify as a compact SUV.
4. The top spec W8 (O) variant in the pictures gets dual zone climate control, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control.
5. The whole cabin has been trimmed out in white leatherette upholstery but with black plastics for the dashboard and the centre console. Also included is an electrically opening sunroof and a white coloured roof (optional).
6. The XUV300 will be offered in four variants, six colours. The details of what is being offered in each variant has been leaked and you can read about that here.
7. The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre turbocharged unit while the diesel is a 1.5-litre unit. Both get a six-speed manual as standard. The car will be launched in India on February 14.
