      Mahindra Two-wheelers sales dip marginally in March12

      Mahindra Two-wheelers Limited, a unit of the country’s one of the most diversified Industrial group Mahindra, has registered a marginal slump in its sales during the month of March 2012. The company managed to sell 12,750 units of its vehicles in the Indian market during this month as compared to the 12,771 units sold in the same month last year.

      In a statement issued by on its performance during the month of March 2012, the company said, "While the year-on-year growth is flat, what is interesting is that the new product Duro DZ, launched by MTWL, has grown dramatically."As compared to the sales of February 2012, Mahindra Two-wheeler’s sales almost doubled during the month of March’12, the company statement added.

      In the financial year 2011-12, the cumulative two-wheeler sales of the firm stood at 1,34,570 units. Meanwhile, the recently launched Mahindra Duro DZ 150 CC is receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers of this segment. Mahindra is still relatively new in the two-wheeler segment, and is expected to grab a major chunk of this segment in the coming years.
