The country’s popular name in the Utility vehicle segment Mahindra and Mahindra has reportedly received over 12,000 bookings for September launched compact SUV TUV300. On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, the company reported an overall sales growth of over 70% as compared to the same day last year. Lucrative price tag and an optional AMT system has made it a popular choice in its segment, thereby also resulting in waiting period expanding to about six weeks.
The Mahindra TUV300 gets a 1.5-litre three cylinder mHawk diesel engine that generates about 84bhp in manual, while the AMT generates about 81bhp. The vehicle claims an impressive fuel efficiency figure of about 18.49 km/l. The TUV300 is available in interesting shades of red, black, blue, white, orange and silver. The automaker had also seen an increase in demand for an AMT version as more Indian customers have started looking out for convenience.
