Mahindra will be showcasing its new XUV Aero design concept at the 2016 Auto Expo. This is a new design concept on which the new Mahindra vehicles will be based on. The Mahindra XUV Aero will be an SUV Coupe Concept and this will be a part of the about 20 vehicles that will be displayed at the Mahindra stall. The other vehicles will be the e2O sports version, e-Maxximo, e-Verito, a customised TUV300 and a Tivoli.
Mahindra had recently acquired a stake in Pininfarina, the global design firm, and in the near future we can see all the Mahindra products being designed by the Italian firm. Dr Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra and Mahindra told ET, “We have seen one or two products fail because of that (design). The Indian customers like little bit of flamboyance, it would be little bit over the top. Some experts may say, M&M have gone overboard, I would say, yes M&M has gone overboard by design and not by accident.”
Pravin Shah, president and chief executive mentioned, "We will be putting forward our global face at the Auto Expo. We would be showcasing our global, futuristic vehicle with accessible technology. Our showcar will reflect our bold design and it will come with all the futuristic connected technology.”
