Mahindra and Mahindra, one of the renowned car makers in India, launched their new Mahindra Scropio Automatic last month. The new automatic model is available at Rs. 10.2 lakh (Ex-showroom, Pune) and above. The new Scorpio is powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk engine and is available in two variants – VLS and VLX that offer smooth and effortless drive to the driver.
"The new Scorpio Automatic has been designed to make driving an effortless experience, allowing one to focus on the drive rather than gear section," M&M Ltd's (Automative Sector), President, Pawan Goenka, said in the release.
The new Scorpio has a fully electronically controlled gearbox that results in shorter shift time giving an improved drivability. The earlier version of the model was accompanied with hydraulic controls. The automatic controls allow easy manoeuvrability in heavy traffic and anti-roll back in “Drive” mode. This prevents stalling of the engine.
It comes with full automatic 6-speed gear box and in-built intelligent driving modes. It comes with user engaged mode and auto engaged modes which enables the driver to handle the SUV easily. The gearbox is designed in such a manner that it will not require an oil change throughout its lifetime which reduces the maintenance costs as well.
