Mahindra and Mahindra seems to rule nearly rule the SUV segment with its world class models like Bolero, Scorpio and Xylo. One model beat another and the story does not end there. There is always something new at Mahindra shop. The company launched the new variant with automatic transmission to please the Indian customers.  It is powered by 2.2L m_Hawk engine which gives power at all speeds. It features two driving modes – ‘D’ and ‘M’ where you can toggle between Normal model and winter mode. The whole automatic transmission system is advanced six speed unit that is imported from Australia’s international system.

Mahindra has also launched the automatic variant in the South African market accompanied with added safety features. It launched a revised, nine-model range of Scorpio bakkies and sport utility vehicles in South Africa that, it says, takes them "to the next level in terms of safety, comfort, convenience, space and aesthetics". Power steering and adjustable steering columns are standard across the SUV range, as are power windows and mirrors, rear-window demisters, cellphone holders and 12V sockets for the front and middle rows of seats. The audio system has an iPod jack, a USB port and a SD card slot.

Mahindra is now clearly serious about entering the US market and create a strong statement about its quality in the SUV segment.
