Mahindra Racing Team, the first Indian team to participate in the FIM MotoGP World Motorcycle Racing Championship, is on cloud nine with some great wins during last season and an immensely bright future ahead as well. In its debut season of the global motor sporting event, Mahindra Racing managed a third spot finish in the Constructors' championship, while its race driver Marcel Schrötter secured a 15th overall finish in the 125 cc Rider's Championship. Further, Mahindra Racing's other driver Danny Webb grabbed a worthy mention in the FIM MotoGP history books, when he finished at pole in Valencia in what was the last race of 125 cc era.

Mahindra Racing became the first Indian team to win an international motorsport championship, when it secured Constructor's title in 2012 Italian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. The team participated in 125GP class of races and won six races out of a possible eight that included three double podium finishes. Further, Riccardo Moretti, the race driver of Mahindra Racing Team, ended the tournament with second spot finish in the Rider's championship.

For the 2013 racing season, team Mahindra Racing partnered with Suter Racing Technology AG, a Swiss manufacturer of high-tech concepts for international motor sporting events, in August 2012. At present, the new association is developing an all-new Mahindra Moto3 racing bike. Mahindra Racing Team also hired the services of two new racing drivers for the 2013 season- Miguel Oliveira from Portugal and Efrén Vázquez Rodriguez from Spain.
