Mahindra, through its EV charging arm Charge_iN, has entered into a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure across India.

As part of this collaboration, Charge_iN will leverage HPCL’s extensive network of over 24,000 fuel stations to install EV charging stations, significantly expanding access to charging points across highways and urban centres.

The upcoming charging stations will be equipped with 180kW dual-gun DC fast chargers, aimed at delivering quicker and more efficient charging for electric four-wheelers.

This move is expected to play a key role in enhancing the EV ownership experience while also supporting the broader goal of accelerating EV adoption in India. HPCL already operates more than 5,400 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge network, providing a strong base for further expansion.

The partnership marks a significant step in Mahindra’s efforts to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem, aligned with the government’s push towards cleaner and more sustainable mobility solutions.
