Mahindra Navistar, a unit of one of the most diversified auto group Mahindra & Mahindra, is planning to ramp-up their truck production capacity to as much as 50,000over the period of coming 3 to 4 years. The firm is also looking forward to offer integrated solutions to the company products by the end of this year. So far, the company has produced over 5,000 trucks from their Chakan (Pune) based plant.
In a recent statement, Managing Director of Mahindra Navistar Automotives Limited, Mr. Nalin Mehta, said, "We are planning to produce 50,000 trucks per year in the next 3-4 years and also launch integrated solutions for the company products by this year-end."Mr. Mehta was speaking on the occasion of the launch of 1,000th Navistar truck in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
In the current financial year, the market share of Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd (MNAL) stood at 9 percent. The company is expecting to outperform the overall industry growth of 9-10 per cent in the HCV segment over the period of next 3 to 4 year.
