Mahindra Mojo 300 has been one among the most talked about power bike amongst the biker community in India. The vehicle is expected to be launched sometime later this year or sometime early in 2015. The bike has been playing hard to get since 2012 when its prototype was first showcased at the Auto Expo event back then. This year expectations have risen again as Mahindra 2-wheelers had finally showcased the production version at the recently held Auto Expo event in Delhi. Pricing and exact launch date has not yet been revealed by the Indian bike-maker, but it is anticipated that the bike may be priced somewhere around Rs. 1.6 lakh bracket. The powerful engine shall be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In the past, sources have speculated that it shall be named as VPI-2. Moreover, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is not expected be offered in this bike and instead it will be assisted by petal discs for the front and rear wheel. Suspension types of Paioli upside-down forks and gas charged mono-shocks will be used at front and rear, respectively. It must be noted that this bike will have Pirelli Sport Demon tyres which are known for their stupendous grip on uneven terrains. Also, multi-spoke alloy wheels will be enhancing the looks of Mahindra Mojo. Furthermore, dual exhausts are provided in this bike which give a sporty look to the whole attire.

Currently, Mahindra has tasted success once with the Centuro bike in the 110 cc category, whereas sales for the Pantero never really raked up huge numbers. A senior Mahindra 2-wheelers official said, “The scooter segment is extremely important for the company and we will come out with brand new models from time to time.” Post the launch of Mojo 300 in the power-bike segment , the Indian bike-makers potential in the this segment shall be out in the open.
