Mahindra is on the way to launch a two-wheeler in the market quite soon. The company has decided that it will launch a new product every six months so that it stays in the thick of things. Incidentally, this can also be a way for the company to make a firm place for itself in the immensely competitive two-wheeler industry.

Dharmendra Mishra, the Vice President (Sales and Customer Care) of Mahindra was present at the occasion of the launch of the 110 cc Gusto scooter. He said, “We are working across categories and want to be a serious player.” Instead of sharing any specifications for the models planed ahead apart from the emphasis and frequency in 150 cc two wheelers, he did say something about the much-anticipated Mojo 300 model. He said that the bike would finally make an arrival in the Indian market in the next fiscal. Incidentally, it has been five years since the first time Mojo was showcased; however, the bike has been shelved till now. The company fell silent about its launch immediately after showcasing the production-ready model.

Mishra admitted that the delay has been quite long for the Mojo 300 motorcycle. However, he also said that the company had given it a more robust look and it is not almost set for an April launch. The superbike segment has been highly competitive in the last few years and is expected to become stiffer once the Mojo 300 makes an entry. As a matter of fact, Mojo 300 will be competing against a well-placed Kawasaki Ninja 300, the dashing Honda CBR 250 and a few other models from Bajaj and KTM.

The announcement about this 300 cc super bike was done at the launch of the Gusto scooter from Mahindra. Gusto will feature a height adjustable seat and the ex-showroom price of the model is 50100 INR. This is the price of the VX variant; however, HX variant is slightly more affordable at 48100 INR. The scooter is placed lower than Activa and TVS Jupiter as far as the price is concerned. Incidentally, the Gusto scooter has already sold around 10000 units in North India after its launch in September, 2014.
