      Mahindra Maxximo CNG variant to spark up the rivalry against Tata Ace

      Mahindra & Mahindra, country’s major truck manufacturer is rendering face-off rivalry with the launch of its mini truck, Maxximo in CNG variant to the segment leader Ace sold by its arch competitor, Tata Motors. The CNG powered two-door mini truck will be shelved at a price of Rs 3.99 lakh (Ex showroom Delhi) and the company confirmed that launch is intended to augment customer base through this superior product offering, especially in the Delhi NCR.

      Mr. Vivek Nayer, Senior Vice-President (Marketing – Automotive Sector), Mahindra & Mahindra, commented that in just two years of the foray into the mini truck segment with introduction of Maxximo, the automaker has captured a good stake in the market while Tata Ace has been on a leading stance in the segment.

      He further added, "Our share was 22 per cent in the load segment while that of Ace was 68 per cent. In the load segment, Maxximo had 29 per cent share while that of Ace was over 60 per cent... With Maxximo CNG coming in, we are looking to expand the market also our share will go up further."

      While speaking about environment concern, he said that the company is sincerely committed towards sustainable mobility and the environment, which is evident with the launch of Maxximo CNG. Mahindra & Mahindra will now be targeting transporters and corporate segment for pitching the mini truck.

      The company has affirmed that there will be no production cut as the production is strictly in line with the demand arising in the market.
