Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to the launch a next generation model of its flagship Scorpio SUV in 2014. This model will be equipped with a diesel powertrain that will be capable of producing a maximum power output of 140 bhp. The powertrain will come mated to a six speed transmission unit that also serves on the XUV500. However, the next generation Scorpio will retain its value for money proposition and remain a big favourite among Indian masses.

The next model in tow is an entry level hatchback, codenamed C101, which is currently in its development phase. Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to position this model in the entry level B Segment of hatchbacks and is expected to cost around INR 4 lakh. The car manufacturer is also planning to launch a sub-4 metre compact SUV, which will be designed on the same platform as that of C101 and is codenamed as S101.
