Export data shows 220 units of the KUV100 have been shipped to South Africa alone this month. This appears to be the volume-spinning market as the company had earlier confirmed that the car’s demand will decide the export volume. The KUV’s production has already been hiked to cater to domestic as well as global demand and we can soon expect more units to be shipped from the Bombay Port.

The manufacturer did everything to give an impetus to the sales of the KUV100 and they have fairly succeeded. The KUV’s success can be attributed to two things – aggressive price and a unique proposition. The sporty looking car is an affordable option for buyers looking for a car in the hatchback or entry-level crossover segment. No wonder it has a good demand in India and should replicate its success overseas as well.
