Mahindra Two Wheelers India has silently added a new mid-variant to its Gusto Scooter lineup. Christened as Gusto HX, the new variant is positioned between the base DX and top-spec VX variants. The new variant is priced at Rs. 46,800 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Mahindra Gusto HX scooter is equipped with features like tubeless tyres and LED pilot lamps, which is also offered on the base DX variant. Moreover, the scooter also features a height adjustable seat which can be adjusted between 735mm and 770mm. On the other hand, the base DX variant features the static seat with saddle fixed at a height of 770mm. Compared to the top-spec variant, the new mid-variant misses out on features like flip key and find-me lamps.
Like other two variants, the new Gusto HX is powered by the same 109.6cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 8bhp at 7500rpm and a peak torque of 9Nm at 5500rpm. The engine is clubbed to a continuously variant transmission (CVT) to transfer power to roads, while the front suspension is of telescopic type. The new scooter is available in six exciting paint schemes- iceberg white, galactic black, magnetic magenta, volcanic red, arctic white and raven black.
The homegrown two-wheeler maker is also aiming to launch a series of new bikes in the market. The much-awaited Mojo motorcycle is expected to go on sale by the festive season, and is expected to be priced under Rs. 2 lakh.
