      Mahindra e2o expected to be launched with Power Steering Soon

      Country popular electric car rechristened as e2o is a product as a result of collaborative efforts put in by the Mahindra Reva group. The petrol free electric car, comes with Easy home charging option, thereby enabling you to charge the vehicle overnight within the garage. Currently e20 is available in three variants namely - T01, T2 and T20. Mahindra has also put up details regarding the same on its official website and has ststaed that the electric car may be receive power steering function in the T2 and T20 variant.

      The Mahindra Reva e2o is expected to initialize the concept of fuel free cars in India. The patented REVive technology in this green car, lets you remotely activate the reserve power with just a call or use of a Smart-phone application. The car is blessed with a fully automatic transmission that makes driving a pleasure in the city traffic. The e2o with a compact structure has a mere turning radius of 3.9 meters. Moreover, the car is built using ABS body panels that are high impact dent and scratch resistant.

      he e2o from Mahindra Reva boasts of an intelligent drive assist system that is equipped to diagnose, record and notify information to its owner on a regular basis. The interiors of the e2o is also pretty convincing. The car has ample cabin space and carries a refreshed look. On the exterior, the long flowing headlamps and broad grills gives it an appealing look. To boost e2o sales in the Indian market, Mahindra Reva has set up a 24 x 7 assistance program and has assured of a courtesy car being provided when the car undergoes a battery repair period.

      Chetan Maini, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles, said, What we are doing with the scheme is bringing down the cost of acquisition while we guarantee the customers battery performance coupled with inflation proof running costs. We will own the battery, all that the customer needs to do is pay a monthly fee. Commenting on the reason for the discount, Maini said, We have had a lot of customers who liked the car but were deterred by the cost. Now with this, we hope we will make it more affordable for them and push up sales.

      Mahindra e20 is offered at a starting price tag of about Rs. 4.99 Lakhs. Earlier this year Mahindra Reva had also announced a price cut of about Rs 1.7 lakh for its electric e2o car in most parts of the country including major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi, but it is unclear if the offer still prevails. Furthermore, the carmaker had also announced interesting schemes to create demand for the car, wherein interested buyers may avail of this facility by paying up some amount as a monthly rental fee to the car-maker. As per the scheme a customer is expected to pay a sum of Rs. 2599 every month to the car-maker as an 'energy fee', this would allow the owner to drive throughout the country for around 50,000 kms over a period of five years.
