      Mahindra and Mahindra Announces Increase In Vehicle Prices

      India's leading player in the Utility vehicle segment, Mahindra and Mahindra has announced a hike in prices of its vehicles from the commercial and passenger vehicle segment. The vehicle prices have been hiked by about 1% in the domestic market, which means buying a Mahindra vehicle could cost you an extra Rs. 2,300 to Rs. 11,500 (ex-showroom) depending on the model.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division & International Operations (AFS), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "We have been holding back on price hikes for a while but now it has been necessitated to partly offset the impact of rising input costs." The price of its tractor fleet shall also rise and shall be effective from this year November onwards. Adding further, the company said, “The increase is in the range of Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 10,000 depending upon the model. The price hike has been necessitated owing to increase in commodity prices and conversion costs.”
