      Made-in-India Tata Zest launched in Nepal

      Tata Motors has launched the Zest compact sedan in Nepal. The petrol version of the compact sedan is priced at 24.5 lakh Nepali rupees, while the diesel version of the sedan is tagged at 30.75 lakh Nepali rupees, ex-showroom. It is the company’s first product under the HORIZONEXT umbrella. It will be made available across the country in over 18 Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle sales outlets from today.

      Based on the company’s new design direction of ‘Confident Dynamism’, the Zest compact sedan features a new forward pouncing stance and well-sculpted body. The wheel arches of the sedan have been fitted to 15-inch alloy wheels, while the side profile gets strong wedge of the shoulder-line. Inside the cabin, the sedan gets a neatly-layered dashboard with dual-tone- Java Black & Latte. It is equipped with a well-integrated infotainment screen and Tata Motors next-generation 3-spoke steering wheel.

      Dimensionally, the Zest sedan is 3,995mm long, 1,706mm wide and 1,570mm high, and has a decent ground clearance of 165mm. The company is offering 2 year, 50,000 km warranty, and 4 free services with the compact car.

      The petrol version of the Tata Zest is propelled by the Revotron, 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that is good for 89bhp and 140Nm of torque. It comes with a top speed of 154kmph. The oil burner gets the 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine that churns out a maximum power output of 89bhp and 200Nm of peak torque. It is capable of hitting a top speed of 158kmph. While the petrol version is claimed to return 17.6kmpl of mileage, the diesel engine delivers 23kmpl of fuel economy.
