Hyundai, the South Korean automaker has launched the made-in-India new-generation i20 in the South African market. The hatchback is already on sale in the Indian car market and select international market.

Based on a new platform, the new generation i20 has a larger wheelbase of 2,570mm (45mm longer) while the width of the car is increased by 24mm to 1,734mm. The increase in wheelbase contributes to its spacious cabin. The new model is inspired from Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0, which makes it look sportier. It features a thin horizontal grille flanked by a new set of headlamps. At the back, the hatchback has the blackened-out C-pillars which are complemented by a floating roofline.
