      Logan to Export from India

      After Suzuki and Hyundai, now Mahindra-Renault is planning to export its low cost car, Logan, from India. It has already put its plans to export its sedan into the overseas market making India as the hub of exports.

      “We are exploring right-hand drive markets like South Asia, and Africa amongst others to export the Logan. We plan to start exports this year.” said Mr. Nalin Mehta, Chief Operating Officer, Mahindra-Renault Pvt Ltd.

      However, the export figures and any definitive plans are yet not confirmed for Logan. Moreover, the company also plans to launch the LPG and CNG variants of the sedan in India this year. It also aims to become a serious player in the market and plans to mark its presence in more segments.

      It also aims to have tougher marketing strategies for this year and more competitive targets for its dealers. It shall also be expanding its dealership networks this year to 156 from existing 94 dealerships. It sold 25890 units of Logan last year y operating its plant to its full capacity. It may further ramp up its production capacity depending upon the market demands.
