BMW has revealed a limited edition 7 Series luxury sedan on account of their 100th anniversary and has named it ‘BMW Individual 7 Series The Next 100 Years’.

The car can be distinguished by the handcrafted signets on the B pillars which say "The Next 100 Years" and the exclusive Centennial Blue metallic paint with forged 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Inside, the 7 Series gets a special smoky white BMW Individual fine grain Merino leather upholstery, quilted seats with hand-woven piping and "The Next 100 Years" embossing on the headrests. The car also gets an Alacantara headliner, piano black trim and a BMW Individual steering wheel with wood accents.

On the centre console is an inscription with the number of the car out of the 100 models being produced. Customers will also receive a unique Montblanc for BMW centennial fountain pen which has Centennial Blue metallic accents and a rhodium-plated Au750 gold Montblanc nib.

Three engines will be offered on this 7 Series. They include a 4.4-litre V8 with 450 horsepower, a 6.6-litre V12 with 612bhp and a plug-in hybrid model. The Hybrid will feature a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor that together have a combined output of 326bhp.

Given that India is one of BMW’s bigger markets for the 7 Series it seems possible that out of the 100 units being produced a few may actually find their way into the sub-continent.
