      Auto Expo is a biennial show that is held in India and it happens to be the Asia's largest motor show event, besides from being world's second largest. Last held in 2012, the 11th edition of Auto Expo saw the presence of prominent car makers hailing from different parts of the globe. Nissan was also present at the event and its enclosure seemed to grab a lot of attention owing to the display of various iconic models, including GT-R and 370Z roadster.

      At the onset of launch, Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer for Nissan Motor India Private Ltd was quoted as saying, "These are exciting times for all of us at Nissan and in our effort to provide the Indian customers with an experience of our full range of products, we are delighted to launch our very popular and iconic sports car 370Z in India.”

      At present, 370Z coupe is available in both automatic and manual transmission variants. Talking about the specifications, the car gets a DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that has a displacement of 3696 cc. It can generate a maximum power of 332 bhp while attaining a peak torque of 363 Nm. In terms of transmission, the manual variant is powered by the 6-speed gearbox with Synchro Rev Control system whereas the automatic trim comes equipped with 7-speed manual shift mode. The gear ratios of both the trims levels varies to a great extent. Nissan has almost offered all the safety equipments in its 370 Z so as to offer enhance security for passengers. The car is provided with features that include brake assist, dual front, side and curtain airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Equal Brake-force Distribution (EBD), anti-theft alarm and engine immobiliser. The sports car of Nissan rides on 245/40R19 94W (front) and 275/35R19 96W (rear) tyres, which have a good on-road grip.

      370Z has been offered in 7 colour options, namely Brilliant White Pearl, Vibrant Red, Diamond Black, Brilliant Silver, Blade Silver, Premium Lemans Blue and Brilliant White Pearl. Along with, the leather upholstery is available in two different colours options – Persimmon Orange and Black. Currently, the car of Nissan is available from Rs. 55.5 lakh to Rs. 56.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and due to its unique price, it has got a little competition as rivals carry much higher price tags. However, the challenge exists in the form of BMW Z4, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Audi TT. As the German triplet is present in the segment of Nissan 370Z, the car has not been performing as per the expectations of its maker and it could be said that the model might find it hard to establish a loyal customer base.

      In terms of appearance, Nissan 370 Z carries a streamlined and muscular body structure that complements its design. On interiors, the car certainly packs a punch with driver-angled triple meter cluster, in addition to the fine stitching and quality upholstery that gives a sporty feel to the cabin. For passengers' entertainment needs, Nissan has given an specially optimised 8-speaker layout in 370Z’s interior space. To mention, the BOSE sound system that supports supports AUX-in and CD/DVD gives exceptional sound quality.
