Land Rover in Japan has started to take bookings for the 2017 Discovery Sport, and the new model will cost between 5,100,000 Yen (Rs 33.42 lakh) and 7,230,000 Yen (Rs 47.37 lakh).
The 2017 Discovery Sport will sport ‘InControl Touch Pro’, an infotainment system that uses a high end Intel quad-core chip, graphics processor and a quick Solid State Drive (SSD). It is connected to a 10.2-inch screen that pinches, zooms and swipes. When one inputs an address into the navigation feature, the system brings up the 360 degree Google street view on the screen.
Another highlight in the new model is Land Rover’s all terrain progress control which is ideally meant for off-road use. This function is basically a low speed cruise control which works with hill descent control. Land Rover Japan is also offering their ‘premium care’ warranty program which includes free repairs, including consumables, for the first three years of ownership or up to a mileage of 60,000km. Customers can choose from a range of paint shades available on the 2017 Discovery Sport called silicon silver, farallon black, carpathian grey, and aruba metallic.
