      Lamborghini introduces Aventador Roadster at Rs. 4.7 crore

      Lamborghini, the world renowned Italian super sports car maker, has launched its Aventador Roadster model in the Indian auto market at a price tag of around Rs. 4.7 crore. The model was globally showcased somewhere in October 2012 and was able to pull the masses across its stand. Interestingly, with the launch of a new model in the Indian auto market, the new Aventador Roadster has also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the auto maker.

      Coming to the technical specifications of the model, the recently launched Aventador Roadster is equipped with a 12-cylinder, 6.5 litre engine, which churns out a maximum power of 697 bhp, with a peak torque output of 690 Nm. With this output, the model smoothly accelerates from 0-100 kmph within just 3 seconds, and further clocks a top speed of 350 kmph. Owing to its latest technology, driver can easily shift the gears in mere 50 milliseconds. The gearbox of Aventador Roadster is developed by Graziano, whereas the courtesy of wheel drive system goes to Haldex Traction.

      According to sources, the model was unveiled by the Sales Manager, South East Asia and Pacific of Automobili Lamborghini, Andrea Baldi. The launch of Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster in the Indian market within just 3 moths of its international showcase represents the Lamborghini’s commitment towards the Indian market. Reportedly, the auto maker delivered 17 units during the last year, marking a growth of 21 per cent under the review of sales figures of 2011. Considering sales of 2102, the India arm of Italy-based Lamborghini Automobili has set higher sales target for 2013.
