Lamborghini is all set to launch the HuracanSpyder tomorrow in Mumbai. If you haven’t noticed already, the Spyder is a soft top version of the Huracan and was recently showcased at a function in New York.
The Spyder weighs close to 90kg more than the hardtop, and accelerates to 100kmph just 0.2sec slower than its sibling, before hitting an identical claimed top speed of 320kmph. So what’s new? The soft top operates both ways in 17sec till speeds of up to 50kmph. It's made of fabric and engineers spent time to make the materials lend stability, noise absorption and a degree of insulation to the occupants.
Lamborghini’s Huracan Spyder gets all its muscle from the 5.2-litre V10 engine that is coupled to a seven-speed dual clutch ‘box. We are talking about 602bhp and 560Nm of torque sent to all the wheels at the driver’s disposal. Lamborghini India is also taking this event as an opportunity to inaugurate its Mumbai showroom, and prices for the Huracan Spyder is slated to be in the region of Rs 3.5 crore.
