Renault India recently announced their sales figures for April 2016 showing a growth of 211 per cent. Thanks to the huge sales numbers of the Kwid, the carmaker has registered this landmark sales performance.
The company, in all, sold 12,426 cars last month as compared to 4,001 units sold in the same month last year. The carmaker hasn't given an exact figure for the sales numbers of the Kwid, but it is surely this car that has boosted these sales numbers. The company has received more than 1,20,000 bookings of this entry-level hatchback since its launch. More than 23,000 units sold since the start of 2016 also shows that the Kwid's sales numbers amount to nearly two-thirds of Renault India's overall sales.
The Renault Kwidhas played a pivotal role in boosting the sales numbers for the carmaker. It has also helped the company to boost their market share to 4.1 per cent in the first quarter of 2016, as against a share of 2 per cent at the end of 2015. Right from ramping up the production at their Chennai plant to the dealer expansion, the carmaker's strategy has helped them attain this huge success.
