KTM India has silently launched the latest iteration of the KTM RC390 for the Indian market without any hike in price. This 2016 KTM RC390 made its premiere at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy last year.

The biggest and the most significant change to the new RC390 comes in the form of the slipper clutch. KTM India had introduced the same on the Duke 390 last year as a 2015 model year update. This new slipper clutch, like on the naked sibling, will surely enhance the track-focused capabilities of the faired bike as well.

The other update on the 2016 RC390 is the always-on headlight like the one on the European model. Alas, the Indian model RC390 misses out on many key features like the ride-by-wire system, thicker rear seat, revised mirrors, the canister exhaust (EU-4 compliant for the European market) and the larger front disc.

The new KTM RC390 continues to be powered by the same 373.2cc single-cylinder mill that churns out 43.5bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to the six-speed gearbox. So, even if there isn't a major change in the new RC390 in comparison to the current model in India, the subtle changes will make the bike a better and fun to ride proposition.
