Maruti Suzuki India proudly announced that the company has successfully surpassed the 10-lakh milestone for their revolutionary K series engine. Currently, advertisements can be seen on television showcasing Maruti vehicles with K series engine. It should be noted that the wave of equipping Maruti Suzuki machines with the powerful engine of K series started just three years back. To achieve such a figure of 10-lakh in three years is a commendable achievement for sure.
In October 2008, the first K series engine was implemented in the export model of the A Star. After this, India’s largest passenger car manufacturer gradually incorporated the K series in most of its successful models, thus increasing their mileage and performance. Maruti Suzuki’s Wagon R, Swift, Alto K10 and Estilo are the cars which were bestowed with the smart engine.
Overjoyed with the achievement, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Chief General Manager – Marketing expressed the contentment of the company and said that the company is delighted with the positive response and popularity of the K-series engine. Maruti Suzuki is consistently working to further improve the know-how of the engine to comply with the increasing demands along with maintaining high standards.
Presently, K series engines are furnished in over 1.36 lakh Alto K 10, 1.05 lakh Estilo, 1.9 lakh Wagon R, 95,000 Ritz, 3.5 lakh A Stars and 1.24 lakh Swift which are riding high on their tremendous success in the country.
