As of now, all spy shots taken of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler pick-up were taken from a distance, but we now have clear and up-front pictures of this upcoming pick-up truck being tested.
Thanks to these ground level shots, it sure looks like this pick-up is all set to get the same suspension set-up that does its duty in the SUV sibling. The rear suspension set-up comprises of coil springs instead of leaf springs. Furthermore, the Wrangler pick-up is based on the long-wheelbase Wrangler Unlimited platform and on closer inspection, you will notice a similar nose-section design. To give you a better perspective, this pick-up should have more or less the same dimensions as Toyota’s Tacoma or the Chevrolet Colorado.
Just like the regular Wrangler, the pick-up version will also use aluminium-extensive body panels in a bid to save weight. Powering this vehicle will be a series of engines, but the highlight will be the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 motor that will use an eight-speed automatic transmission to lay the power down on the tarmac. There’s even talk about a hybrid power-plant finding its way into this application.
Jeep might showcase the Wrangler pick-up in the last quarter of 2018 before it goes on sale in early 2019.
