      Loss of lives due to any natural calamity cannot be compensated with anything in this world. But, the ones struggling to make it out alive and rebuild their life, a little help from the world can help them restore their lost dreams. In a bid to support the cause and provide some relief to the affected, Bajaj Auto has reportedly contributed Rs. 20 Crore to Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister National Relief Fund.

      The North Indian state has been known for its beauty that attracts global tourist towards it. But the recent floods have completely destroyed places that have been once known for its beauty. It is said that this is the worst flood situation that has hit the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Till date over 200 people have been reported to have lost their lives in the flood. The Bajaj group of companies and trust have been known for their active engagement in CSR and philanthropic activities such as Medical Health, Education, especially Sanitation by providing clean toilets for girl Schools. The company has also been a part of projects that ensure a supply of clean drinking water, etc. In the financial year 2014-15, Bajaj Auto plans on contributing over 150 crores as donation to noble causes.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Mr. Rahul Bajaj, Bajaj Auto Chairman, stated, “The state of Jammu and Kashmir has seen unforeseen disaster and damage to property and infrastructure worth crores of rupees. We feel the grief of our fellow citizens in the state and they need our help at this critical time to come out of this tragedy and to rebuild their lives. Our Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made an appeal to all Indians to donate to the PM's National Relief Fund for the affected people in the region. We would like to join the government's effort to help in relief operations in flood-ravaged Jammu & Kashmir and provide all support to the affected countrymen in the state.”
