Jaguar has just given its humble XE executive sedan a serious performance boost in the form of the new XE SV Project. The latter has been designed and developed by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO).
With the most highly tuned version of Jaguar Land Rover’s 5-litre supercharged V8 developing up to 600bhp, the Project 8 will become the second Collectors’ Edition vehicle from SVO, following the F-Type Project 7 in 2014.
A prototype recently underwent testing at the gruelling Nurburgring Nordschleife. As for the production model, no more than 300 cars, all hand-assembled at SVO’s technical centre in Coventry, will be made for sale globally.
