The company reported an all round increase in its vehicle sales in major international markets with the exception of USA, which witnessed a natural upheaval in the form of Hurricane Sandy during last week of October 2012. Further, the anticipation of brand new 13 Model Year products for Jaguar has contributed to the sales drop in auto market of Unites States.

Jaguar Land Rover has witnessed remarkable sales growth in all major international auto markets till date (from January to present) in the 2012 calendar year. The Chinese and European automobile markets contributed the most towards Jaguar Land Rover's total sales by growing at 78 per cent and 41 per cent, respectively. The company's home turf – UK's auto market witnessed a 21 per cent surge in sales, while registering an increase in sales by 38 per cent and 15 per cent in Asia Pacific and North American region, respectively.

Expressing his delight at the latest sales figures produced by the company, Phil Popham, Director of Group Sales Operations, Jaguar Land Rover, said “We have seen a strong sales performance across both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in the first ten months of this year. During a very competitive year for premium car sales, and in an increasingly uncertain economic environment, I am delighted to see strong demand for our products and that we are still performing well across all our key markets.”

Reportedly, the October 2012 sales for Land Rover climbed up by 17 per cent and stood at 22,166 vehicles, as compared to 18,931 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The October sales comprised premium Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), such as Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Land Rover Freelander. Further, since the beginning of 2012 calendar year, Land Rover has recorded a sharp 41 per cent boom in its vehicle sales, which stands at 249,414 vehicles. The world renowned premium SUV maker has also announced to introduce a new high aluminium Range Rover model for its customers somewhere in December 2012.

On the other hand, Jaguar sales during October 2012 climbed down by 24 per cent at 3,010 units as compared to sales registered during the same month last year. Evidently, the sales drop could also be attributed as an unavoidable consequence of Hurricane Sandy hitting the east coast of North American region along with advance introduction of 2013 Model Year XF and XJ variant ranges in all major markets. The British super luxury sports car maker's key new offerings comprise an All Wheel Drive (AWD) and smaller engine model in Jaguar XF and XJ range, besides the all new Jaguar XF Sportbrake. Reportedly, Jaguar delivered 44,877 vehicles during the first ten months (January to October) of 2012, an eight per cent growth as compared to corresponding period of last year, thereby highlighting the strong performance of Jaguar XF sports car.
