The Jaguar F-Type is arguably the most beautiful car built in recent times. While everyone drools over aggression, the simple and beautiful lines of the F-Type stand out. And when Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) wing lays its hands on the F-Type R Coupe, we get something that is more beautiful, aggressive and faster than ever – The F-Type SVR.

The F-Type R is already blessed with the 5.0-litre supercharged petrol V8 that churns out 542bhp of power and 680Nm of torque. SVO has tuned the engine further, getting 25bhp and 20Nm more out of it. Now if you ask us, it is not really much of a performance bump. But with the amount of weight saved, the overall performance of the car will certainly be a few notches higher.

The F-Type SVR does the zero to 100kmph dash in 3.7 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than the F-Type R and going all the way to the top whack of 322kmph. It gets carbon ceramic brakes to give you the additional stopping power and is 21kg lighter. The new aluminium alloys are 10kg lighter while the new titanium exhaust saves another 12kg.

The interiors are bespoke, just like the Range Rover SVR. It gets electrically adjustable sporty bucket seats upholstered in fine leather. The F-Type SVR will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show to be held in March. If it ever comes to India, which may take quite some time, it will cost you more than two crore rupees.
