Tata Motors’ owned Jaguar brand is now planning for elaborate expansion plans. It recently reported rise in sales and profit margins going up last month. Now the recent developments indicate that Jaguar is planning to expand its model range. It had introduced its F-type sports model first time in 2000, but in the wake of changing scenarios, it was ditched for more mainstream products.

Now Tata Motors is getting ambitious as it announced that it will go ahead with its plans to introduce the new F-type Sports models with swoopy curves and eye-catching style in the international market. Speaking with the UK’s Auto Express, Jaguar boss Carl-Peter Forster revealed that the long-rumored F-Type has been given the green light for production. The all-new, compact Jaguar roadster becomes the fifth model in the company’s expanding product range and marks Jaguar’s return to the true sports car market, which it helped to create in the 1950s and 1960s culminating in the legendary E Type.

The model will compete strongly with Porsche 911 and Audi R8 in the international market. It is expected to be on roads in the international market by 2012.
