Jaguar, now owned by Tata Motors, provided all the specifications of its highly anticipated concept car, Jaguar C-X16. The recent move has cleared the air regarding the exact look and appeal of the concept car. The concept car has been described as a creation that would inspire the future Jaguar sports cars and would enable the cars to imbibe the advancements and innovative technologies. According to the company statement, “The car aims to set new class benchmarks in design, vehicle dynamics and technology."

There have been speculations that the recent concept would take ahead the legacy of XR, while others believe that Jaguar C-X16 is a different product altogether, which would eye on Porsche 911 for competition. The design theme of the C-X16 reflects the contour of the XK’s front, while the rear draws inspiration from C-X75 concept which was showcased at the Paris Auto Show last year. The split air intakes on the front end offer a bold look to the car and the elongated bonnet provides a feel of power and elegance to make it look explicably beautiful.

The interior of the concept has been provided with a contour and a theme that seems to be inspired from aeronautical ergonomics. The interior includes the joystick gear lever and toggle switches on the instrument panel, which provides a glimpse of the commendable work done by the designers. Callum, the Design Director of Jaguar, said that "Great Jaguars have always been beautiful, innovative and have looked firmly to the future. The finished C-X16 concept has the potential to do these things while retaining the ability to surprise, to excite and invigorate."

With a new 3.0-litre supercharged V6 engine producing 380 bhp of power and 450 Nm of torque, the Jaguar C-X16 concept can be looked upon as the future of Jaguar cars.
