      'Isuzu Max Run Challenge' organized by Isuzu Motors India reaches its final point

      The three day event known as 'Isuzu Max Run Challenge' has reached its final destination here in Mumbai today. The event organized by Isuzu Motors India Private Limited is set-up between Vijayawada and Mumbai and was held from 23rd September to 25th September. As part of the challenge three Isuzu D-Max pick-up trucks drove though Hyderabad, Solapur and Pune before reaching Mumbai. The special feat about the competition is to cover the 1000 kms distance in just one full tank.

      Speaking more on the occasion, Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, President & Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “It is an important and exciting day for us, since our three day Isuzu Max run challenge concludes today. We are extremely happy to have organized such a drive. The Isuzu Max Run Challenge is a global initiative that has been successfully undertaken in Australia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and the Middle East. World over the Isuzu D-Max is known for its excellent fuel efficiency, power, torque, operating economy and we wanted to prove the same in India as well.” He further stated, “The three day drive has not only facilitated in demonstrating the USP of the vehicle, which is fuel efficiency & vehicle performance but has also established the fact that with correct driving technique, anyone can get the best out of an Isuzu. Isuzu has conducted fuel efficiency training in different countries and we would like to extend this for the Indian customers too.”

      The Isuzu D-Max as claimed by the company reportedly delivers a fuel efficiency of about 18.3 kmpl in practical conditions. The vehicles used in the Challenge had GPS Telemetry System helps in keeping a track of exact kilometers traveled and keep a real time track of the drive. The evaluation report post the drive completion was revealed by, Raajeev B Batra, Partner KPMG India to Mr. Takashi Kikuchi, Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India at the end point in Mumbai.
